YHA Spread their Wings

As part of a wider remit to expand the Youth Hostel Association’s London offering, HMC has secured the off-market purchase of a new site at Angel Lane, Stratford E15.

Negotiating against the freeholders, Westfield, HMC has agreed the grant of a new 250 year lease on a site adjacent to the 2016 Olympic Park and the Westfield Shopping Centre.

YHA will construct a brand new 70,000 sq ft hostel, subject to obtaining detailed planning consent. A premium of £6m was agreed, subject to an annual peppercorn.
