McMillan House Sale

Acting on behalf of Newmarket Travel, HMC has sold the freehold interest in McMillan House, Worcester Park, Surrey for £5.7m.

HMC had previously overseen the successful application for Permitted Development Rights to convert Newmarket’s former 31,000 sq ft office headquarters into 46 apartments and then carried out an extensive marketing campaign. Competition for the building was fierce, but the successful bidder was Swedish property company, Akelius, which intends to carry out the conversion and offer the units into the private rental sector. The scheme will commence following Newmarket’s relocation to a new headquarters building at nearby Cantium House.
